There's really no need to sit and worry alone. A phone call, a quick chat - get to know us and how we can help.

What is Advocacy?

Advocacy is about enabling a person's views and concerns to be heard by the relevant person.

Advocates do not make decisions for their clients or try to tell people what they should do.

Advocates listen to their client and offer support in whatever way is appropriate.

Advocates offer choices regarding possible action that a client can take, but only represent the client's views and opinions, not their own.

Advocates enable clients to make informed decisions about their care and treatment and to gain more control over their lives.

If an advocate cannot help, we will endeavour to signpost you to the appropriate agency who can help

Types of advocacy we provide

Instructed Advocacy - Working under the instruction of the client

Non-Instructed Advocacy - Working on behalf of the client if they do not have the capacity to make their own choices and decisions

Whatever the issue our professionally trained advocates may be able to help.

USS advocates are amongst the highest qualified in the country.
